The 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (505th PIR), is one of four infantry regiments of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Originally under the command of Colonel James Gavin, the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) was activated on 6 July 1942, during WWII. In June 1944, the 505th PIR actually jumped before its scheduled “H-Hour”, thus earning their motto “H-minus”. The 505th PIR has a long distinguished history and we are glad to honor them with this remastered design.
